If you look at the features list, it looks like they were developing a completely different game within the lines of "play/create/share", it's not even "just" a platformer anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if MM decided that this will be LBP2 just few months ago... Actually, it's probably Sony's idea, advertising a sequel is easier than advertising a new IP, especially if the original has many GotY awards.
I doubt it will come out in 2010, too early. Sony will probably save it for next year.

Whenever GT5's name is mentioned, the discussion about how long it's been under development is brought, you don't see this happening with games like Alan Wake, The Agency, DC Universe Online or even LA Noir, or at least, it's not brought up as much, even though some of those games have been under development before GT5's announcement.
It might be justified in a topic about a release date, but seeing it in literally every GT5 article is annoying, even if it is true.

Kojima is now the third designer ever to have two games receiving a perfect score from famitsu, the other two being Yasumi Matsuno(Vagrant Story/FFXII) and Miyamota (Zelda:OoT/Zelda:WW).
Also MGS is now the second series to have two games on the perfect famitsu scores list.
For those who keep dropping the "PS3 is being sold as BluRay player only" crap, that argument is pointless now since the PS3 sold more software in FY 2009 than the 360. Just thought I'd point that.
